I use the newest mac book maxed at the best you can buy. Runs great at max settings. Compile times are low etc. Obviously a normal computer or laptop using windows is better but developing for IOS leaves you with limited options.

A bit of research tells me that our recommended graphics card outperforms the Intel Iris Pro by a somewhat significant amount, so I would be wary of signing up to teach a class until you've been able to test the engine's performance with that graphics card.
